Durand Union Station/Michigan Railroad History Museum
Due to its unusual structure, this over 100-year-old historic building is one of the most photographed train depots in the U.S. and offers a unique surrounding to accommodate parties, meetings, receptions, and other special occasions. The Depot is also home to the Michigan Railroad History Museum featuring new exhibits several times a year that pay tribute to the colorful heritage of the railroader and the contribution of Michigan's railroads to lumbering, mining, agriculture, and industry.
The Museum, Library, and Archives contain a wealth of railroad information for rail enthusiasts, researchers, and genealogists. Included in the collection are photographs, ledgers, technical railroad information, union materials, and a variety of other documents pertaining to railroading in Michigan.
